Longboard Camp
Locations
The longboard camp will take place at various skate spots in cologne. You will be accommodated at a camp house with the other participants. The camphouse is located on the outskirts of cologne. Peace and nature invite you to relax from the strenuous training sessions and get to know the other participants better.
The house is surrounded by a nature reserve. There is a supermarket nearby and two different train lines that take us directly to the centre. The camphouse is located in an old farm that has been converted into flats. It measures 100 sqm in size and extends over two floors. It provides 6 bedrooms for 2 people, 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. The house has its own terrace and leads out into a courtyard at the front.
Food
The longboard camp is accompanied by delicious soulfood which will be served every morning and evening.
The participants will be spoilt by vegetarian Ayurvedic food prepared by our friend Raj Sanjeevaiah. Raj not only organises his own dinner parties, where he treats his visitors to the best flavours – he has already provided culinary support for many events and retreats in the food truck, as part of cooking courses or as a caterer. He also sells his Indian specialities via his own website Kochtiger.de. If you additionally want to prepare food, you can also use the kitchen of the camp house.
Cologne
The city
With more than 1 mio inhabitants, Cologne is the fourth largest city in Germany. With the Rhine flowing through and the many beautiful areas right by the water this city is also called Köllefornia. Its landmark is the Cathedral, but there is also plenty to discover here.
Always focusing on longboarding, you will get to know the city in a very special way.
Skate Spots
As part of Grow Your Flow, you will get to know various longboarding spots in Cologne, where you can also practise outside of the longboard camp.
One of these spots where you’ll be practicing is the Deutzer Werft, which is now one of the best-known longboard spots in Germany. The Deutzer Werft is located directly on the Rhine and offers a marvellous view of Cologne’s landmark – the Cathedral. Depending on the weather, we will end the day there at least once with a barbecue in the sunset. You will get to know the Köllefornia Vibe and get in touch with its lively rollsports community.
